Bringing together the very best of nature and community
Works included a 1600dia and 450dia culvert and walking tracks along a diverted stream with riparian planting. Due to the extent of bulk earthworks a sediment retention pond was constructed as part of our erosion and sediment controls. A low pressure sewer was a key feature of this stage, which meant a faster programme was achievable through placing the pipe in a common services trench.

“Install of the two culverts required a stream diversion, de-fishing by an ecological expert, soft ground remediation and a significant amount of earthworks and rip rap to prevent against scouring. The culverts were sized based on external stormwater modelling that takes into account the increasing number of rain events.”
