Project details

Set up on a hill with a dominant ridgeline and views over Kapiti Island

Works included set out, bulk earthworks and construction of roading and services.  Rainsmart storage tanks are staggered down the hill and were designed to capture, hold and allow infiltration of stormwater flows.

Key project takeaways –

“This large cut to fill operation utilised the natural topography and involved conventional survey peg set out; we very rarely use pegs on site now due to the evolvement of GPS machine control in our heavy machinery.  This takes away the risk of pegs being knocked out of position and having to be re-set out.”
