Development of an old horticulture site
Works included set out, bulk earthworks and construction of roading and services as well as infill of a lined water storage pond. The scope also included widening of County Road in a number of places.
Key project takeaways –
“Another development up on the plateau with clay subgrade and poor drainage. Our crew worked quickly to get the bulk earthworks completed over summer and worked around the weather in winter finishing the civils. We are quite some distance from the nearest asphalt plant in the Hutt Valley, thus we listen to the advice of our surfacing subcontractor when choosing a suitable fine day to lay down asphalt.”
